  • Overview

    The Senior Director, Syncsort Cloud, is the executive leader and general manager of Syncsort’s rapidly growing Cloud business, composed of various Cloud and SaaS offerings.  Responsible for working with Sales, Sales Engineering and Services to equip and drive revenue growth as Cloud & Security expert.  Works with Product Management and R&D to innovate and develop new Cloud/SaaS offerings.  Interacts with Cloud customers to ensure their satisfaction and maximize subscription renewal rates.


    • Drive and grow Cloud/SaaS revenue for existing offerings (30%)
      • Work with Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales Engineering and Sales to ensure proper training and equipping of field sales teams
      • Work cross-functionally to establish and drive sales plays, including supporting marketing campaigns and materials
      • Assist sales/presales with completion of Cloud/SaaS RFPs
      • Ensures optimal pricing for Cloud/SaaS offerings to maximize growth and optimize margin
      • Present as needed within sales cycle to build credibility around Syncsort’s Cloud/SaaS offerings and delivery
      • Work with Sales, Sales Operations and Finance to ensure accurate pipeline, revenue & expense (P&L) reporting
    • Innovate with new Cloud/SaaS offerings in partnership with Product Management, R&D and Sales (20%)
      • Work cross-functionally to identify opportunities and build/launch new Cloud/SaaS-based offerings
      • Drive efforts to effectively leverage Cloud-provider marketplace(s) to drive new leads/sales
    • Oversee and ensure Cloud/SaaS delivery quality and efficiency (20%)
      • Establish clear roles & responsibilities for Cloud/SaaS application and infrastructure support and maintenance across functional teams
      • Oversee and optimize delivery and uptime of all Cloud/SaaS offerings
      • Leverage Cloud provider stack(s) to enhance customer uptime and lower overall costs
    • Maximize Cloud/SaaS customer renewal rates (20%)
      • Maintain relationships with key Cloud/SaaS customers
      • Work with Renewals team and Sales team to strategize and drive effective customer renewal process


    • Bachelors degree in Business or Computer Science or related field (Masters or MBA preferred)
    • 7-10 years leading Cloud/SaaS business (ideally within an on-premises/hybrid software company)
    • 5-7 years direct leadership of Cloud/SaaS technical delivery and hosting operations
    • 5-7 years experience with MS Azure and/or Amazon Web Services
    • Demonstrated success establishing and growing Cloud/SaaS offerings within a traditionally on-premises software company
    • Experience in establishing/maintaining processes for SOC2, SSAE 16, ISO 27001 certifications
    • Experience overseeing geographically distributed delivery teams to deliver optimal outcomes
