  • Overview

    Syncsort is looking for an experienced Human Resource Business Partner to join our growing team. As an integral member of the Human Resources team, this role will partner with several departments of the Syncsort organization. You will be on the front line working closely with Managers and Directors on people-related issues to be able to provide hands-on and strategic input, insight and advice with respect to employee relations, coaching/development, performance management, compensation, conflict management, organizational development, training and more.

     

    Human Resource Business Partners are instrumental in initiating and driving key HR programs/initiatives within specific functions and across our Company. We are looking for an energetic and seasoned Business Partner to drive people and business initiatives. The ideal candidate is one who excels in a fast-paced, highly energetic, collaborative and innovative environment with the extraordinary desire to provide a high level of excellence in everything they do.

     

    The position reports into the Senior Director of Human Resources and is based in Pearl River, NY.  

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as a consultant and trusted advisor to management on HR related issues including effective communications, team and individual development, practice/policy application and other management challenges. Assessing and anticipating Management needs and delivering high-quality and effective solutions.
    • Act as single point of contact for employees in the Pearl River office
    • Provide HR expertise, educate, coach and partner with managers on performance management, employee feedback, employee relations, development and coaching, compensation and organizational development.  
    • Build strong business relationships and partnerships across all levels of the organization.
    • Role modeling leadership and management behavior as well as Syncsort's Core
    • Values to implement successful change in the organization.
    • Participate in the continual development of HR programs and initiatives, such as career pathing, employee engagement, performance, employee training and development.
    • Collaborate with the HR team to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results.
    • Lead core HR processes across assigned team (performance calibration, compensation/merit cycle, promotions)
    • Lead timely resolution of Employee Relations challenges. This includes the identification of and partnership with internal and external resources; and providing counsel that is consistent with Syncsort's Core Values, operating principles, high-performance culture, risk management considerations, etc.
    • Serve as functional and/or business representative on Company and HR committees, project teams or task forces as needed.

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of 5 years of experience supporting a high-growth organization in a Business Partner capacity. Experience supporting an engineering organization is highly desirable.
    • Experience working with and supporting remote employees, domestic and international.
    • A deep knowledge of HR programs and practices. Demonstrated proficiency in supporting a multi-faceted and global organization with solid experience in the areas of:
      • Employee Relations
      • Conflict Management
      • Performance Management
      • Career Development
      • Training & Development
    • Demonstrated success in building strong credibility and partnership with client groups including all levels of teammates (individual contributors up through senior management).
    • Proven ability to manage employee relations situations, a working knowledge of employment law and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
    • Ability to operate effectively in matrix organization, balancing client advocacy with overall corporate strategies; effectively collaborate with the broader HR team.
    • Experience in driving change to enable effective and efficient scaling of the organization.
    • Ability to manage projects and solve complex problems effectively, efficiently and with creativity.
    • Ability to stylistically adapt communication based on audience.
    • Demonstrated analytical thinking and decision making skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities.
    • Strong Business Acumen with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
    • Also, must possess the stamina to go from zero to 60 mph in three seconds flat and who can (and enjoy!) turning at a moment’s notice.
    • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally.
    • HR Certification is a plus.
